Fantasy Ballet

Young ballet dancer

Discover the magical world of classical ballet. Princes and Princesses, fairies and woodland animals spring, skip, soar, fly and leap. Children are introduced to ballet vocabulary, steps and class progression through imagery, stories and the great ballets. Imagery and improvisation guide dancers to connect mind, body and spirit as they explore ballet. Body awareness and movement vocabulary are introduced in barre work, stretching, center and traveling sequences. Time for creative expression within the formal structure of a ballet class allows dancers to be in their bodies.

Level: Beginner (ages 5 - 7)

Schedule: Thursdays 4 - 4:45pm; Saturdays 9:45 - 10:30am

Attire / Appearance: Pale blue leotard, pink tights and pink slippers. Hair should be pulled back off face in a ponytail, pigtails or bun. Boys – white t-shirt and black tights and black slippers.
