With an emphasis on developing strength and musicality, this class pushes dancers to move expansively and allow their inner light to shine!
Our warm up will help build stability, awareness, and control. Once that foundation has been established, we will travel across the floor with combinations that encourage dancers to utilize the momentum of the body. We will workshop to build confidence with turns, floor work, and inversions that we wouldn't find in a ballet class! A longer choreographed piece will encourage students to channel their inner performer, respond to the dynamics of music, and be bold.
Level: Beginner (ages 8-10)
Schedule: Wednesdays 4-5pm
Attire / Appearance: Bare feet, black leggings or dance shorts, any color leotard or sports tank. Hair pulled back off face in pony tail, pigtails or bun. Boys: white t-shirt and black leggings.
