This class will expand upon the fundamentals of pointe work. Pointe dancers will continue to develop foot, ankle, leg and core strength with drills at the barre. Dancers will expand their pointe work vocabulary and sequence steps together for complete phrases in the center. Turns across the floor and pose on one leg will be introduced. Students will focus on increasing core and leg strength and developing ease and grace in their pointe dancing. Dancers must attend 3 technique classes per week.
The pointe portion of class on Mondays from 7:30-8pm and on Fridays from 6:15-6:45pm is optional.
Level: Advanced (age 11+)
Schedule: Mondays 6-8pm; Thursdays 4:45-6:45pm
Attire / Appearance: Teal leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers. Hair pulled back off the face in a pony tail, pigtails or bun.
