MLD to Present "A Midsummer Night's" Dream

Moving Light Dance is incredibly pleased to announce our Spring 2025 performance will be Shakespear's "A Midsummer Night's Dream"! All dancers enrolled in Moving Light Dance classes have the option to participate in the performance.
Studio Showing Feb. 21st

Moving Light is excited to announce that we will be offering a studio showing free to the public on Friday, February 21st, 2025. Interested folks are encouraged to come and check out the space and studio and ask any questions for Christine or the other dancers present. This is a great way to witness our class work and process.

MLD Welcomes New Dance Teacher

Moving Light Dance is pleased to announce the arrival of Carissa Bellando to our team! Carissa comes to us from New York and holds a MFA in Contemporary Dance from Case Western Reserve University and a BA in Theatre and Speech with a concentration in Musical Theatre and a minor in Dance from Wagner College. She is also a Registered Vinyasa and Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RYT, RPYT) as well as certified Zumba Instructor.

Moving Light Dance will hold a showcase of local dancers performing their own dances at the Montpelier studio on Tuesday, May 23rd. Dancers will present a studio performance of their work beginning at 6:30pm at the studio located at 184 River Street in Montpelier.

Green Mountain Nutcracker Performances Bring Down the House

Moving Light Dance returned to the Barre Opera House for the first "Green Mountain Nutcracker" performances in over two years on December 17th and 18th. The dancers brought the house down for both performances.

We finished setting the choreography for the Snow dance on Sunday and a hint of snow flakes fell on the way home from rehearsal. Returning to this piece after a two year hiatus has revealed its genius to me.
